About the album
Soft, atmospheric, and intimate. Parachutes feels warm and melancholic at the same time, with quiet guitars, tender vocals, and a kind of late-night emotional softness running through the whole record.
Why it matters to me
This was the first vinyl I ever bought and not even for myself. I got it for my dad for Christmas, because he'd told me it was playing when I was born. We bonded over this album, almost got matching tattoos of the moon on the cover. I've always loved it in full, start to finish. It's comforting in a way that feels built into me. It had to be the first in my collection. There was no other option.
